You Make the Call
In this section, we will be covering: Handling Complaints Where Resolution Is Likely to be Beyond the Municipality’s Control We will take a look at three cases.
This section goes through the LHO process associated with less obvious complaints. These complaints require the same kind of hands on LHO involvement as in the clear cut cases we covered in Section Four. Eventual cooperation is still the hoped for outcome. It’s equally important to get the right information, to verify the complaint, and to get good advice for solving the complaint problem. You can still use the LHO Complaint Flowchart because the steps are essentially the same – except that the law may not permit the municipality to take corrective action.
Section Five should take approximately 30 minutes to read, process, and do one short knowledge check.
